Suhan
[attr="class","dropfrumbodytxt"]PERSONALITY callous, adaptable, intelligent, unceremonious, shrewd, proud
A tigress both sage and chagrin in most aspects of life, her sharp and sly tongue is heavy-hearted, she's aware of most of the consequences of her actions, but it's not impossible to sway her to kindness. She enjoys most children, regardless of species, though she despises ignorance, and her "kind" manners are often more on the end of pure callousness. She doesn't mince her words, nor does she seem to express attachment easily, and she has a significant dislike of other felines. Her nature, while far from sweet and gentle, is what has kept her alive. A distrustful and gruff response to most she comes across seems to have done it's job of keeping trouble out of her way, if her appearance didn't already accomplish such a task. Suhan does not lack intelligence though, her life has given her a harsh, tough-love sort of wisdom beyond her years. Her life's been about self-preservation in every aspect to the bare minimum, and it shows. Her first question is rarely, "What's your name?" but rather, "What'd you need?" said in harsh vocals. Her views are based around the belief that no one's kind without a reason, and that everyone should be treated with suspicion. That being said, it isn't impossible for her to be proud of or care for someone, she just avoids it as often as possible due to her past. One isn't quick to hand their heart away when they've experienced little but jeers and laughable pity. Even then, if one does earn her love, it's unlikely they'll know it at first. If anything, the tigress acts tougher and crueler around those she loves, though this is done in the belief that only the blunt and honest truth will make them strong. Perhaps over time, she'll no longer feel the need to guard her heart so fiercely, and one might see a smile on her maw, but right now Suhan sees nothing but a dark and friendless world, even in her mind.
APPEARANCE Perhaps before one even realizes they're looking at a tiger, they realize she has no eyes. Then again, it really depends on which side you see first. Her left side seems relatively normal, just an empty eye socket, but her right side is a mauled garden of proud flesh and scar tissue. Fur is sparse and patchy on the right side of her skull. She's a much smaller than most tigers too, and is on the skinny side when it comes to weight, but her body is bound in wiry musculature. A gruff scowl usually frames her maw, though smirks are quite common as well. Her tail, long, shades of orange and black striping. Generally, Suhan looks like a standard tiger, though there are some inherent bloodline differences. Her coat for example, has a more yellow-orange tone than a red-orange, and her fur is cut through by multitudes of narrow, sharp black stripes, more than are usually seen on a tigress. Her ears, semi-round and almost always perked at attention, and if she had eyes it would be noted their colour a deep amber.
HISTORY Suhan is the product of an uncaring family, the she-tiger was born with only one eye, such a child was believed useless in a Dynasty that values both stealth and ferocity, Suhan was a shame to her family. None of Skotadi wanted anything to do with the sharp-tongued youth, and upon directly challenging the ruling monarchs about their right to the throne, thus her other eye was removed as punishment. The she-tiger was healed so she'd live, but harshly enough that the scars would be horrific on the left side of her face. No one desired to mentor a youth despised even by the monarchs. Even her peers jeered at her marred face, remarking that she best shield her face or all the prey would be scared away even before she stumbled after it. A little after she turned 2 years old, the tigress left the Dynasty, with no plans to return or join another. After all, she was practically an Omega already, and that was no life for her, the tigress was too proud. Shamanism was neither a possibility either, for though she was intelligent, she had little patience for whining. By this time she'd adapted to sensing her surroundings well enough that she could generally get around, though missteps weren't uncommon. Hunting was far harder, Suhan struggled, and for a brief time she weakened greatly by feasting like a scavenger, but soon she learned her own methods to hunt. Patience seemed to be the method, she took to unusual ways of disguising her presence. Undignified, perhaps for a tiger, but Suhan fed herself and no longer starved. The falls and waterways became mediums to her own nature of stealth, she would lie in wait, mostly submerged in watery depths. Risque, perhaps, for a blind creature, but Suhan's other senses were keen, and swimming had always been a skill of hers. Few creatures suspected lying in wait, obscured by some unusual overhanging foliage was a great beast, accustomed to listening to the rumble of the water so that she could easily detect the steps of prey approaching the water, and an approximate size. Her attacks started off clumsy, but over time, she seems to have mastered her own odd guerilla-hunting style. She often wanders the falls or the depths of a vast forest, though she's stumbled across a very large ravine once, and since then avoids the area for the sake of preventing a nasty accident. It should be noted as well, that Suhan has standards for her food. If she hears her food talk she can't eat it, things like that make her uncomfortable. It's just weird trying to eat something you've had a conversation with, right?
