Aaa! Okay!
So, before I joined, I read over the rules and the Allowed Species list and noticed that a shop kept coming up time and time again. I told myself that if I just kept checking out the links on the Beginner's Guide and the posts in the Need-to-Know board, then I'd certainly come across a link or thread for the shop, since it seemed to be important. But I didn't. And I completely forgot about it when I signed up. Now, keep in mind that I'm here to roleplay, so the OOC boards (ie, everything under the Member's Hub) doesn't really interest me. I was only reminded of the shop when I was looking through the Recent Posts and spotted a few members asking to purchase items. I suddenly remembered the shop and clicked the location of the posts - "Bone Pile Shoppette." Had I not looked through the Recent Posts, I would have completely overlooked the shop and may have assumed that female characters could have as many litters as the roleplayer wanted and youthful characters were never allowed to be created unless they were the product of an on-site litter. While I will admit that I should have done way more research on this site before signing up, I think that by moving the Shoppette to the Need-to-Know board and/or including a link in the Allowed Species list (maybe when the shop is addressed at the very beginning, it could be clickable and could redirect people to the shop) would be INCREDIBLY helpful!
And I don't know if this would be a suggestion or a question, but I'm gonna put it here anyway! The Badlands. I'm confused about them. The site plot doesn't mention what The Badlands are and, from what I can tell, they are neutral territory. So why aren't the boards under The Badlands part of the Neutral Lands? It does seem like the Neutral Lands have a more historic or religious purpose rather than those places in The Badlands, but I honestly think that they could all go under the same category and could accomplish the same goal.
Speaking of condensing, I think that we could blend the Need-to-Know board with the Guidebook into a single board, since both seem to be doing the same job - informing guests and members of how the site is run. I feel like it would help clear up a lot of the confusion that any new member may have coming in!
