Buruk
[attr="class","dropfrumbodytxt"]PERSONALITY Buruk is more of the quiet type, not saying anything unless he is spoken to by someone. Despite this, Buruk is very friendly towards everyone, whether it be prey or a fellow predator. He is very gentle towards others and he will risk his life to save those in immediate danger. He does not put up with being run-over and he is very wise. He has been known to let starving bears into his territory if it has enough prey, and he will even hunt for a cub if they are starving and have no one to take care of them.
Buruk can be very protective of friends and especially cubs, even if they aren't his own. If someone starts being aggressive towards him and it's not out of fear of him, he will start to get extremely aggressive. He is never one to start a fight unless he absolutely has so.
APPEARANCE Buruk as near millions of tiny and large scars on him, and he is sore all over his body. He can't move without feeling pain anymore due to severe arthritis, yet he is always moving and simply ignores the pain to fulfil his need to wander and explore.
HISTORY As a young cub, Buruk always had to keep moving, whether it was on his mother's back or on the ground. When he was born as a rogue, his mother had barely anything to feed him and relied on his father to get food for the two of them. His mother always kept moving due to the fact that at the time, food was extremely scarce and nearly every bear in the area was starving, and she kept on the move to try and keep away from any opposing male bears.
On one of his family's territory changes, Buruk's father went out to hunt and never came back. This stressed his mother out and confused Buruk. He didn't know what death was at the time, not even of prey. His mother tried to fend to Buruk, and did well at first, but her mental state started to deteriorate into sadness and she became monotone. She tried to teach Buruk how to hunt before she got too bad but her memory stared to go as well. She eventually forgot who Buruk even was and chased him away, leaving him with a gash down his shoulder.
Another mother bear named Nami from the Arkouda found Buruk in a small cave, starving and with an infected shoulder. She decided to take him in and nurse him back to heath. Nami's two cubs Nambar and Pero became good friends with Buruk. Eventually, Nami let the three go off on their own after teaching them how to hunt and basic survival tips. Buruk, Nambar, and Pero stuck close to each other and rarely left each other. Pero became a semi-healer out the three, Nambar became the three's main hunter along with Buruk, and Buruk spent time with Nambar on daily checks around their territory.
As the three got older, they started to separate, fighting each other more often and after 3 years, all three of them just stopped talking altogether. The first to leave was Nambar, who was done having to share "his" food and he simply got up and left to be a rogue. Pero and Buruk still keep in touch every once in a while, but they separated after Pero found a mate and simply needed to be with his mate for a while by himself. Buruk took this well and said his goodbyes before leaving.
Buruk met a female bear named Lito a year after he separated from Pero, and the two became good friends. Buruk hunted for her for quite a while since she was running low on food. After quite a while, the two became mates, leaving Buruk to be quite happy with his life. He and Lito had three little blundering cubs. Teri, Bao, and Keeta.
Teri died at a young age from disease but Buruk and Lito recovered mentally from the loss. Buruk taught Bao and Keeta how to hunt and Lito gave them as much love as she could. When the two left to start their own like, Buruk and Lito saw them again even though they said they would visit the two of them. His worried Lito greatly but she never got the same way that Buruk's mother did.
With old age, Lito got extremely sick and was confined to the cave that the two had lived in for quite a while as Buruk tried his hardest to keep her alive. Buruk hunted as much as he could, tried near millions of herbs to help her, and tired himself out checking up on her every hour, even at night. One morning, she didn't respond to him nudging her awake. She just laid there, unmoving.
Buruk grieved for about a year after her death and barely kept himself alive. He rarely hunted for his own good, drank very little water, and he never felt emotion for that whole year. He finally stopped grieving after all of that time and he started to get his emotions back, like the barricade of emotions just snapped one day.
For now, he quietly wanders the wilds of the Arkouda territory.
OTHER INFO Buruk's mother was Herai, his father was Jeran, his mate was Lito, and his cubs were Teri, Beo, and Keeta. Oh, and despite his old age, he is still deadly f***ing strong.
