Upon first introductions you'll see a small black bear, however, you'll quickly come to realize that this small black bear has a lot of spunk packed into her small body. Shreya alway's has a smile on her face and a skip in her step. She's always cheerful, seeing a frown on her face is rare and once in a blue moon. Shreya is always looking on the bright side, always looking for the good in things. Her optimism can be an annoyance to some and to other's it can be up lifting. Unlike most adult bears Shreya hasn't lost that cub like curiosity and wonder of the world around her. She's an adventurous soul who craves to learn and discover new things. She's always on an adventure, curious of where her paws will lead her for that day. The black female has an easy going nature about her making her easy to relax around and good company to just hanging with. The she-bear is a wild and carefree soul. Rarely anything get's her down from her high of a good life and everything is seen as a joke to her, nothing is really taken seriously unless she's working.

Shreya is very energetic, she's always been and it's never really been drained from her as she grew into a young adult. She always show's great enthusiasm to learn or do something and is most of the time bouncing on her paws to get moving. The female has a knack for dramatics. Always over exaggerating the truth or making thing's out to be bigger than they actually are, though the whole point is to get a chuckle or two from her audience. She isn't below to resorting to tarnishing her self-image to make other's laugh, all in the name of making them happy. Shreya is selfless like that. Taking care of other's and putting them before herself. She baby's them, fret's after them, and loves caring for them. It leads to her maternal instinct. Maybe it's because she's a female bear and a shaman at that, but she has almost an overbearing kind of worry for her clanmates. It get's almost to the point of where she worries too much. At a very young age, Shreya has been a very compassionate cub to every living thing she laid eyes on. She hates hurting anything, part of the reason as to why she didn't become a warrior and declined becoming a hunter. She can't physically hurt someone or cause someone pain. She can't be their source of pain. She wishes to heal and mend the broken and injured and so when someone is in pain she goes in "momma bear" mode. Her peaceful nature makes her an advocate against violence. Being in any violent situation has her freaking out and cringing. She'd rather talk thing's out before resorting to any sort of fighting. Though if it truly came down to life or death Shreya would fight to defend those that she loved and cared for.

Shreya is the kind of bear that can appreciate anything and everything that she set's her eyes on. She is always grateful of what kind of people come into her life and the memories she makes. She's grateful for the food she eats every day and she's grateful of Arkouda's vast land. Shreya is dedicated to her line f work and any promises she makes. She's fairly stubborn and hard headed when it comes to getting her way and she has a bit of sass when it comes to the thing's she want's, but it makes her dedication all the worth while. She is a dedicated friend and a dedicated shaman ready to risk her life to protect her clan from harm's way. Her loyalty knows no bounds. Combined with her dedication and you've got yourself a friend for life who will be there by your side no matter what. Shreya will always have your back, even if you don't want her to. The black bear is genuine in her actions, nothing about her screams danger or deceitful. Even if she wanted to lie or trick you she would be unable to. The she-bear never truly lost her childlike playfulness. She's always down to playing around whether that be by wrestling or climbing trees or various other thing's she's always in a playful mood. Not to mention this bear has a brain for creativity and out of the ordinary things. She's alway's doing something new or interesting or "un-bearlike". Her creativity knows no bounds.

Yet despite all her good traits, Shreya is gullible at best. She's easily fooled and deceived because she look's so hard for the good in others. Not only that, but the female is also clumsy and tends to fall over her own feet half the time. She's alway's getting into accident's or finding herself into sticky situations that require the help of someone else and then receives a scolding afterwards. Despite her outgoing personality Shreya is actually very insecure and self-conscious of what others think about her. Especially when she messes up and does something wrong that would warrant the criticization of others. Shreya is also a sensitive girl who doesn't take too well to others yelling at her or being disappointed in her. She despises the feeling that the disappointment of others makes her feel. Yelling at her often times results in her crying or running away in fear. She also hates it when others fight in front of her. Throughout Shreya's whole childhood she was weak and sickly. A small cold could turn deadly in an instant for her, it's left her body being weak and less muscular for her species. Though this has never stopped her bright and happy go-lucky attitude.

APPEARANCE Like all black bear's Shreya is nothing spectacular or different. She's your average everyday normal black bear. She has onyx black fur that's silky to the touch as she keep's it well maintained and a brown patched muzzle. She has warm soft brown eyes like most of her species yet her's glow with a cub like mirth and curiosity. Besides her smaller size and stature with a lack of muscle, she's your everyday plain Jane.

HISTORY Shreya was born inside Arkouda's well-protected territory, however, at a very young age, she was threatened by death. Her mother's pregnancy was a complicated one and during the birthing process, it was a miracle that her mother was able to survive let alone give birth to two cubs. Shreya and her older brother - Nanuk were treasured among their parent's given that the couple had tried for cubs three times previously. All had either been stillborns or miscarriages so having two cubs alive, one healthy and the other sick was considered a miracle. Yet whenever Shreya came down with an illness the family would hold their breaths and pray desperately to the God's, hoping they wouldn't take their baby from them. And Shreya lived, lived to see another day before falling ill once more. Her whole life consisted of being sheltered by her parent's and being sick and when she was let out of the den her brother was always by her side, an ever looming guardian. By the age of one-year-old Shreya decided to practice to become a hunter until she realized how horrifying it was to kill adorable bunny rabbits for food. That's when she changed her training to become a shaman and she's stayed like that since. Not long after Shreya was made into a shaman and has yet to make an impact in her clan.
