Percy's adoptables

I would like to adopt Nianzu's little sister, Yingtai. Here is my idea for personality and history!

Like her brother, Yingtai was trained in the way of combat and command. While she excelled and achieved all the goals set forth by her parents and the elders of Arkouda, she never desired power the way her brother had. It seemed apparent at an early age that Nianzu was a natural born leader, possessing a gentle side which he would use around those he loved and trusted, and also had a fierce and tempered side which came out whenever things got too intense. Yingtai, on the other hand, had a difficult time being called into action. She'd sooner avoid conflict altogether than deal with a problem head-on. She was too timid and too soft-hearted to do what needed to be done. For this reason, she was deemed unfit to hold a leadership position.

Don't think that she is weak and fragile, however. She knows how to hold her own and she knows how to demand respect. She understands those things which the Arkouda clan value and she knows how the clan works, since she came from the top and worked her way down. Although she had the chance to secure a place as Duchess, she made the conscious decision to humble herself by becoming a nanny instead. With her ability to lead and protect, it seemed to be a position made just for her. While she would like to have children of her own one day, she has settled with taking care of others' in the meantime.

Although there is a clear division between Yingtai and Nianzu's ranks in the clan, they still love one another dearly. They do not hesitate to ask one another for advice (though rarely of the political nature) or take long naps side-by-side the way they would when they were young.
